Meet Dr. Lisa LaPointe
Dr. Lisa LaPointe, affectionately known by her young patients as “Dr. Lisa,” is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist dedicated to helping children enjoy healthy, confident smiles in Santa Rosa Beach, and the surrounding Emerald Coast communities.
Born and raised in Hopkinton, Massachusetts Dr. Lisa brings compassion, experience, and a gentle touch to every appointment. She loves building trust with children and parents alike, creating positive dental experiences that make lifelong healthy habits easy and fun.
Education & Experience
Dr. LaPointe earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she was part of the Commonwealth College Honors Program. While conducting research on cochlear implant surgery at UMass Medical, she developed a deep appreciation for patient care and medical science.
During her post-baccalaureate premedical studies at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, Dr. LaPointe began working part-time as a dental assistant and quickly discovered her true passion for dentistry. She later earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was awarded a federal scholarship and joined the National Health Service Corps (NHSC).
Pediatric Dentistry
While in dental school, Dr. LaPointe found her calling in pediatric dentistry. She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Florida and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Through the NHSC, Dr. LaPointe spent three years providing pediatric dental care to underserved children in Texas, Wisconsin, and Florida. Her approach is rooted in patience, education, and positivity. Helping every child feel comfortable, safe, and proud of their smile.

Outside of the Office
Dr. Lisa and her husband, David have one son. They reside in Santa Rosa Beach. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Lisa enjoys relaxing at the beach, rescuing animals, and staying active with yoga and Pilates.
